Recently E-Bob worked on nine TVs for a client. TV repair is one of the things we do here at E-Bob Technical Services. These TVs were in various states of disrepair. There were probably six different brands and everyone was a different model. The technician went through all of them to see if he could get them running again.
The first thing he did was plug each TV in and connect it up to an input signal. If the TV wasn’t working then he would look for a manual online. E-Bob Technical Services was able to find most of the manuals at https://www.manualslib.com. The technician would check the troubleshooting section to see if there was some sort of easy fix. He would also check online for a fix that someone else posted.
If these things didn’t solve the problem the technician would open the back of the television. This part should only be done by a qualified technician. Usually there are a lot of screws so a power screwdriver helps here. Once the back was off he would reseat all the connectors and look for visible damage on the circuit boards. With the TV plugged in the technician would check for proper voltages on the input and output of the power supply board. If he couldn’t find the problem at this point it was not worth troubleshooting further.

Quite a few of the TVs had bad power supplies. A few of them were missing boards from previous repair attempts and some of them had water damage. E-Bob Technical Services was able to bring one nice JVC 47 inch 1080 TV back to life by performing a factory reset. Considering the condition these TVs were in we were happy to get one of them working. E-Bob Technical Services could help you with your TV problems. We will do the initial check of your television for free and then together we can decide if your TV is worth repairing.
