Recently E-Bob Technical Services has been working on industrial control systems. E-Bob has been helping a company get a used extruder working again. This extruder has 3 hoppers, 5 DC motor drives, 2 Ramsey (Fisher Scientific) weigh feeder controllers, an Allen Bradley PLC, and many independent temperature and pressure controllers. I have been working setting up and calibrating the feeder weigh cells and feed rate controls. Troubleshooting and repairing motor drive problems has also been part of the job.
This is difficult work because there are no good system schematics but E-Bob has 30 years experience with industrial control systems so I was able to get the job done. E-Bob specializes in controls and I like working on them because it is challenging but also rewarding. It is satisfying when a client is happy because I got something running again.
