Building control systems are one of the areas I specialize in.  I am good at working on building automation systems (BAS) of all types. Building control systems can go by many different names including Building Management Systems (BMS), HVAC control systems, and building automation controls.  Some of the BASs I have worked on in the past include Siemens Apogee Insight, Honeywell Enterprise Building Integration (EBI), Johnson Controls Metasys, Trane, and Carrier systems.  One of my main focuses in a building controls system is making sure it reliably notifies you when there is a problem and is easy to use.   A building control system is no good if it doesn’t work when you need it.

 I can also work on control panels, equipment controls, and motor drives (aka VFDs), just to name a few.  I provide excellent service, quick local response, and can be on call 24/7 if needed.  I also have experience working on PLCs (programmable logic controllers) and distributed control systems.  I am very affordable and usually can fix things myself.  If there is a time I can’t fix the problem I can help coordinate repairs with a system vendor or provide good advice on what you should do next.

As a homeowner, you want to protect your home and its contents from intruders, fire, and other hazards but monthly security monitoring fees can be too much.  I offer affordable, self-monitored systems.  The security cameras I install allow for 24/7 day or night monitoring from your smartphone or computer.  It will alert you when it senses motion, record 1 minute of video, even in the dark (the cameras have night vision), and stores it for 24 hours.   You can copy or download your camera footage to save it longer. 

Did you know there are wireless smoke and CO (carbon monoxide) monitors that can talk to each other?  This is great because they all go off when one of them does.  This can give you more time to get out or respond to the emergency when the problem starts in another part of the house.   This kind of technology is very affordable and is within reach of the average homeowner.  I could help you install this type of system or there are also many other home automation choices.  I will also teach you how to operate and monitor these systems yourself.  Give me a call and together we will make your home automation needs happen.
